Pancake Day- This event is celebrated a day prior to the Ash Wednesday and that day is named as- Pancake Day. It is mainly celebrated on Shrove Tuesday. The main idea behind the day is organizing the Pancake races where the participants are mainly housewives. These housewives will be throwing the pancakes while they run in the race. In the past and still the day is celebrated with great joy and excitement.
St. Michael’s Day- In different parts of Ireland the farmers’ gift geese and Miceaelmas was the day when the mayor is elected. For the feast the geese and the carrots are the main ingredients. The visitors and the locals are entertained by the cinema at cheap costs. Cinema plays an entertainment source and it also plays a role for providing education to the children. There is international film festival hosted by Dublin on yearly basis.
